Zeta Homework (“we,” “us”) helps students work through homework assignments using a web app and, optionally, a native app that loads our website. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

What we collect

• Homework content you provide — assignment instructions, pasted or uploaded materials, and answers to prompts we ask (for example, your name or class if the assignment requires it).
• Usage on your device — we may store drafts and preferences in your browser’s localStorage on that device. We do not use this to track you across other websites.
• App mode cookie — a cookie on our domain so the app knows you are using the student (production) experience versus internal testing tools.
• Technical data — standard web server and hosting logs (for example, IP address, browser type, and request time) may be processed by our host (Netlify) to deliver and secure the service.

How we use information

We use your homework content to analyze assignments, validate materials, generate drafts, and provide feedback. Processing happens on our servers. We use third-party AI services (including OpenAI) to perform these tasks. Do not submit information you are not allowed to share under your school’s rules or applicable law.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use advertising trackers in the student app.
• We do not require a student account to use the basic flow today.

Where data is processed

The website and APIs are hosted in the United States (Netlify and related infrastructure). AI providers may process data in the United States or other regions according to their policies.

Retention

Data you enter may be kept in server logs for a limited time for operations and security. Drafts saved in localStorage stay on your device until you clear site data or delete them in the app. You can clear your browser or app website data to remove local drafts.

Children

The service is intended for students. If you are under 13, use the service only with a parent or guardian and in line with your school’s policies. If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Your choices

• You can stop using the service at any time.
• You can clear cookies and local storage for our site in your browser or device settings.

Native app (iOS / Mac)

Our iOS and Mac apps are a secure window to this same website. They do not add separate account systems; privacy practices described here apply to use through the app as well.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
